Ryan B. Joiner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by The Ryan Joiner Foundation to honor the memory of Ryan B. Joiner. Ryan was known for his enormous heart and was passionate about helping others. He was an avid athlete playing multiple sports at a competitive level, an Eagle Scout, a lifelong student, and volunteer who contributed his time, talents, and gifts to a wide range of nonprofit organizations.
This scholarship will be awarded to a rising junior or rising senior majoring in social work or a mental health related field at the University of North Georgia, Georgia State University, University of Georgia, Piedmont University, or Brenau University. A minimum GPA of 2.7 is required. Financial need, extracurricular and community activities will be considered. The 2026 scholarship is a one-time award in the amount of $3,000.

Olga Bukowska
Olga Bukowska is a student at Brenau University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She is an active campus leader, serving as a Resident Assistant and holding leadership roles in the Psychology Club, while also participating in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Passionate about mental health advocacy, Olga plans to continue her studies toward a doctoral degree in psychology and hopes to expand access to culturally informed mental health support while helping reduce stigma surrounding mental health care.
